Aneeve Nanotechnologies
Aneeve Nanotechnologies is a startup company spun-out of UCLA and USC developing carbon and IGZO electronics for emerging technologies. The company was founded in 2007 by supplying pristinely aligned carbon to Northrop Grumman. Aneeve is currently based on campus at the UCLA Incubator within the new $175M California NanoSystems Institute building. Aneeve’s larger mission is to develop printed electronics for emerging markets such as low power and transparent displays.

Kos Galatsis
(co-Founder)

Kos Galatsis is a co-founder of Aneeve. He has spearheaded multiple mega-programs and Centers of Excellence in nanotechnology working closely with US semiconductor and defense industries. He is a Associate Professor with Material Science and Engineering at UCLA. He participates in triathlons and is an avid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner.

Chongwu Zhou
(co-Founder)

Prof Zhou is credited for many advancements in the carbon nanotube field including innovative methods in CNT aligned growth and fabrication. Prof. Zhou holds joint appointments within
aneeve Chongwu Zhouthe USC College departments of physics and chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in 1999 from Yale University, and worked as a post doctoral fellow at Stanford University from 1999 to 2000.


Kang L Wang
(co-Founder)

Prof Wang is a pioneering scientist and technologist bringing a plethora of experience in nano devices and material science. He currently holds the Raytheon Chair Professor of Physical Science
aneeve kong L wangand UC Distinguished Professor in Electrical Engineering Department at UCLA. He received his PhD degree in 1970 from the MIT. He has held more than 15 patents and published over 300 papers.

 

 

Mark Zurbuchen PhD
(Principal Scientist)

Mark Zurbuchen is an expert on thin films, thermal transport, oxide electronics, and heterogenous integration of microelectronics. He is also a nano-characteriation magician working with electron beam, x-ray beam, and mechanical methods spanning from cm to atomic length scales. He is inventor on 6 patents, and has published over 30 technical articles. He holds a PhD from the Pennsylvania State University in Materials Science.


Anna Kong Benedict J.D.
(Business Development)

Prior to joining, she worked as in-house counsel at the Automobile Club of Southern California dealing with insurance liability cases for over 10 years. She graduated from Pepperdine Law in 2000. In her spare time she is active with many initiatives, particularly in giving back to the underprivileged and volunteering her time with the local school system.

 

 

Dmitriy Butylkov
(Chief Financial Officer)

Mr Butylkov brings twenty-two years of experience in the finance and accounting field, working with both private and public sector companies, including emerging businesses and large, well-established enterprises.
aneeve kong L wangDmitriy received his MBA in business and accounting from Donetsk State University in Ukraine, and for the last decade has specialized in the accounting and finance aspects of government contracting. His experience includes design and implementation of accounting systems, design and analysis of direct and indirect cost rate structure, management of accounting systems and practices in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
